Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 September 2026

Who we are

Holtbox builds simple, easy-to-use software. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. If you have any questions, email us at hello@holtbox.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us:

We do not set any cookies on this website, and we do not track you across other sites. We do count visits in aggregate using analytics software we host ourselves. It is cookieless, it stores nothing on your device, and it does not record your IP address. We see how many people visited and which pages they read, never who they were. Our Cookie Policy has the detail.

Why we use it

We use your details for one reason: to respond to your enquiry. That might mean answering a question, telling you about our products, or arranging a demo.

Our lawful basis

When you contact us, we process your details because you have asked us to — you've sent us a message and you reasonably expect a reply (legitimate interest). We do not use your information for anything else.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, then delete them. We never sell or rent your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use a web hosting provider to run our website, which processes the bare minimum of technical data to serve pages. We don't share your personal information with any other third parties.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@holtbox.com and we'll respond within one month.

How to complain

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal information, please tell us first — email hello@holtbox.com and we'll do our best to put things right within 30 days. If you're still not satisfied, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business grows. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.

This policy is provided as a helpful starting point and is not legal advice. For your own situation, please take professional advice.
